Sizing Guide
Measurement Guide
For accurate measurements, start with a comfortable shirt that doesn’t have any stretch. Lay it completely flat before you begin, and keep both the shirt and tape measure taut as you work. Be sure to measure in straight, precise lines for the best results. Should you require any assistance with sizing, we invite you to correspond with our team at concierge@terraceclubhouse.com
collar
It’s best to measure your own neck for accuracy. Wrap the tape snugly around your neck just below your Adam’s apple, where a shirt collar typically sits. Leave enough space for two fingers between the tape and your neck, then record the measurement.
chest
Lay the garment flat and measure straight across from armpit to armpit, or one inch below the armhole. Multiply this measurement by two.
waist
Lay the shirt flat and measure across the narrowest part of the waist. Multiply this measurement by two.
sleeve
Starting at the center back of the shirt, just below the collar, measure along the yoke. Continue over the shoulder and down to the outer edge of the cuff.
yoke
Also referred to as the shoulder measurement, measure across the back of the shirt from one shoulder seam along the yoke to the center back at the collar’s base. Multiply this measurement by two.
length
Measure the back of the shirt from the center base of the collar to the hem.

The confidence of our Oxford comes from time and familiarity. A shirt that belongs anywhere. Unchanged, because it never tried to be more than what it is. Manufactured in the USA, it carries forward a century of American ease.
The Oxford shirt has been a cornerstone of American style for over a century. Its origins trace back to nineteenth century Scotland, when textile mills produced four new weaves named after elite universities: Yale, Harvard, Cambridge, and Oxford. Only Oxford cloth endured. Its basket weave structure offered durability, breathability, and a soft texture that improved with age. British polo players soon adopted it for its balance of strength and comfort, fastening the collars to keep them from flapping during play.
When the style crossed the Atlantic in the early twentieth century, American students and tradesmen made it their own. Worn open at the neck, rolled at the sleeves, or pressed under a sport coat, it became a uniform of honest refinement: casual, capable, and quietly self-assured. The unlined button-down collar remains a defining feature. What began as a practical solution on the polo field evolved into a symbol of understated American ease. Allowing a natural roll at the neckline that sits easily whether worn with or without a tie.
Oxford cloth is woven in a two-over-two basket structure, with paired yarns crossing in both warp and weft. This creates a fabric that feels substantial yet remains breathable and supple. It holds its shape through years of wear while softening with each wash. Our fabric is a 6-oz. midweight Oxford woven by Somelos in Portugal, designed for comfort in every season. It is light enough for warm days, yet dense enough to layer beneath a jacket or sweater.
The fit follows a traditional pattern meant to be worn comfortably, not tight or oversized. A slightly higher armhole allows the shirt to sit neatly under a tailored jacket without bunching. A box pleat at the back adds range of motion, and a small laundry loop allows for hanging and storage. The collar is cut to a classic 3 1/2 inch length and left unlined, with no interfacing or fuse, creating the natural roll that defines the Oxford’s unmistakable character.
Every element of construction is chosen for durability and comfort. Single needle stitching runs throughout, with hand felled seams that lie flat against the body. The front placket is unlined for a soft, natural drape. A rounded hem with side-seam gussets reinforces the hem for tucked or untucked wear. Buttons are cut from genuine mother of pearl, four millimeters thick, providing both strength and subtle luster. Together, these details produce a shirt that represents more than a garment. It is the result of a long tradition of practicality refined through craftsmanship, built to be worn hard, washed often, and carried through decades of use.
